As a participant, affected person, coach, and human, I've spent much time figuring out how and why dependencies arise and why they're so persistent.
Though I once hoped for a "philosopher's stone" or "the one true path," the recurring patterns I've observed over the years are different. They show up in my models as invariant complexes — modelable and operationalizable within a recognizable range. From this came the insight that
rarely is there a perfect solution, but there is always the perfect path.
The secret, therefore, lies elsewhere and will reveal itself along our shared path in our knowledge alliance. It will be your own path, one you create yourself.
In the end, you'll continue it autonomously alone — that's always the goal.
We agree on this at the start of our journey, and you'll confirm it at the end, because you're the only one who can judge that for yourself.
I place great emphasis on clients realizing they don't have to be part of the problem if they choose to be part of the solution.
But they must decide that for themselves.
The Path
Unlike most classic retrospective approaches I observe in therapies, I work clearly prospective from the start — centering the connection of your new self to your future environment right away.
From the beginning of our knowledge alliance, you are manifest for me as you are, and I won't question that.
Another core essence of my work, which keeps surfacing:
We can't change what has happened — from now on, we can only do better!
